Raleigh RRA

Road Touring - Custom Wheels - Track, Fixie & Single-Speed - Off-Road - Hors Category - Road Sport - Roadster & Cruiser

Here are bicycles I've recycled, assembled, installed, tuned, restored, or just looked at. I've seen some of the finest cycling machines in the world, and also some of the worst. These bikes belong to customers, friends, family and others.

Track, Fixie & Single-Speed Bicycles

Dolan track bicycle (2018)
Paul upgrades to a proper machine for Kissena velodrome racing.

Gios Torino Super Record track bicycle (Italy) Displayed at Track Iron Day, Kissena Velodrome.

Raleigh Competition fixed-gear road bicycle (England) My first race bike from the 1970s has been restored. It was brought to Classic Rendezvous Weekend and on a rainy ride the old saddle leather ripped from the rivets.

RIH Competition track bike (Amsterdam) According to legend, RIH is named for the fictional horse "fast as the wind," in the writing of Karl May, and GB stands for the founding brothers "Gebroeders Bustraan." This one has Suntour Superbe Pro track cranks and hubs.

Road Sport Bicycles

Ross Compact ten-speed bicycle (Rockaway Beach, NY) This bike came while researching New York's hometown bike brand Ross Chain Corp. With serial number 0582396696, it's maybe one of 582 million Ross bikes. Equipped with Shimano's funky and obsolete FF front freewheel system.

Yamaguchi custom road bicycle (Colorado) Will's masterpiece includes hard-to-find web-shaped lugs and new-old-stock Dura-Ace 7400 components.
