BIKE WORKS NYC - BICYCLE COLLECTIONS - NOVEMBER 2001

Long Haul cargo bike (1988-USA)
chromoly frame, white with black, Suntour 7-speed derailleur drive,
24 x 1.75 wheels, Odyssey one-piece crank, Hutch pedals.

We call this a "Long Jan" cause it was built by Jan VanderTuin
in the style of a European cargo bike called the "Long John."
Jan (pronounced Yawn) has since moved to Eugene, Oregon,
established the Center for Appropriate Transport,
where he produces a wide range of cargo cycles.
