Peter Johnson road touring bicycle (1990-Redwood City)
Two old friends come together with this bike and rider.
It's Jobst Brandt's Peter Johnson,
a handmade masterpiece for an enormous stature.
Jobst is known for his book The Bicycle Wheel
and his photographs 40-Years Cycing in the Alps.
Peter built one of the finest examples of drillium.

Peter doesn't make a headbadge,
Jobst put one on from Fredy Ruegg, a Swiss maker.

Parked at Rossotti's on Alpine after Dino ride 2004 out to Pescadero.

The new fork was threadless, Jobst dethreaded the threaded headset,
Peter ain't happy about the Ritchey stem, but Jobst takes credit for designing the logo.

All filet brazed construction, with butted headtube,
and a gorgeous flat-top fork crown with seamless blades.

Jobst needs the perfect bike for climbing those Alps every year.

Jobst knows all about flat tires. Thanks to him I do too.

Peter Johnson, Faema, Masi... whataman.
